Second Place Poem Below;
Celebrating The New Year by Benson Zhu 7B
New Year
People hustle back to their hometown,
From places where they have worked year-round.
Thoughts of meeting with family members in mind,
Spring festival is a happy reunion time.
Firecracker
Firecracker reaching the sky,
Showed off for a while.
Parents help children cover their ears,
Smoke’s dust was extinguished.
Hongbao
Hongbao are given to everyone young,
When they show respect to the elderly ones.
Special snacks are sold here and there,
In packages with wishing words everywhere.
You could be on featured on Dukebox in the future too if you participate in our writing competitions! Our competition this month is “Information Leaflet on Qing Ming Festival.”
