The importance of travel by Karen Zhang

Have you ever imagined a life without travelling? Do you find long trip relaxing? What are the best sights that you have ever seen? If you never travelled, then, you won’t be able to answer the last two questions. Robert Louis Stevenson said:” I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” The ability of us to move from one place to another is the best virtue that we could ever have.
Travelling offers numerous advantages and benefits to people as these positive aspects include physical and mental effects. These aspects include:
1. tasting new food items
2. relaxing your body
3. experiencing new culture
4. finding new way of living life
… and so on.
Scientists have confirmed that travel can regulate the nervous system and promotes the metabolism. Therefore, those people who usually travel, are often healthier
Now, the whole world is sinking in a crisis called coronavirus. People stay at home. Closed the curtains and lock the doors. But even so, the virus is still spreading. The number of infected people is increasing at an impossible rate. In this situation, many people began to recall their travelling lives. If the virus crisis hadn’t happened, they might be tasting the tasty food they found during their trip.
Saint Augustine said: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” Our lives are short and full of grief and sorrow. If you just read one, your life will never be as wonderful as others. So go plan your new trip, from now on!
